Installation FAQ

Common questions about ZyCDN self-hosted CDN installation and deployment.

What operating systems does ZyCDN support?

ZyCDN supports CentOS 7/8/9, Ubuntu 18.04/20.04/22.04/24.04, Debian 10/11/12, and other mainstream Linux distributions. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or Debian 12 is recommended. The system auto-detects the OS type and installs corresponding dependencies. The console and edge nodes can run on different operating systems.

What server specs are needed for installation?

Console (management): 2 CPU cores, 4GB RAM, 40GB disk (SSD recommended). Edge nodes: 1 CPU core, 1GB RAM, 20GB disk. Actual specs depend on traffic and cache needs. All servers require root access and public IPs. For internal deployment, ensure network connectivity between console and edge nodes.

What if I encounter issues during installation?

Check: 1) Server meets minimum requirements; 2) Network can access external resources; 3) Firewall allows required ports (80/443/8080 for console); 4) SELinux is disabled or properly configured. If issues persist, check installation logs or contact technical support. Refer to the troubleshooting guide in the documentation.
